Cycling and COVID 19
First and foremost, our priority is the safety of our members and members of the public that we may come into contact with. As of the 29th March, sports clubs are able to take part in group sporting activities with up to15 people. This is step 1:Phase 2 of the UK Government’s roadmap for easing Covid-19 restrictions. Full details can be found on the British Cycling website. We monitor any changes closely and follow the advice of British cycling at all times. If you join us on a ride, please ensure that you have suitable face coverings for any stops and that you maintain a social distancing of 1 metre on the bike and 2 metres when not on the bike. Bringing your own anti bacterial hand gel is advised as well. Please adhere to advice on track and trace and any and all verbal advice given by group ride leaders who will be up to date on the latest guidance.
Groups of 15 is seen as the limit not a target. We have a tried and tested system for managing rides and are keeping to groups of 6 to ensure manageable groups and maximise safety for our members. If you have any questions, please contact us for more information.
